We have migrated https://red.podkasts.org from a virtual server on DigitalOcean to another virtual server on a physical server that
https://anartist.org / @anartist has contracted from Hetzner.
It's one of those tedious tasks that users wouldn't even notice. Physically, we haven't moved from the EU, but the monthly fee that used to go to a company in the USA now goes to the anartist community pot, and from there it pays the company in the EU. And that's why we did it.

If anyone out there runs a #Plesk server, check to see if your have a ton of emails stuck in your mail queue. There was a problematic email security update that got applied within the past 12 hours that caused mail queues to stop processing both incoming and outgoing email.
Fortunately, it's an easy fix.

Značku Hetzner budete pravděpodobně znát jako velkého německého poskytovatele serverových a cloudových služeb. Já jsem zatoužil vyzkoušet jejich klasický webhosting. Objednal jsem si nejvyšší tarif a pustil jsem se do testování. A kdy jste vy naposledy jste posílali kopii občanky pro zřízení hostingu? ;-)
I am looking for a reliable mail hosting provider, with 2FA, unlimited aliases (including catch-all * ), POP+SMTP+IMAP, no mobile app required, with configurable domain but not bundled to the provider being the registrar. Possibly based in EU/Switzerland.
Discarded options:
- I am moving away from Gandi.
- Infomaniak seems to require registering domain with them.
- Zoho based in UK.
- MXroute does not seem to offer 2FA.
- Autistici/Inventati only with one of their domains (not configurable).
- Fastmail based in Australia.
- Mailcheap based in USA.
Thankful for any suggestions

In light of my getting abruptly kicked off #Oracle Cloud without explanation, can someone recommend a Europe-based, trustworthy, independent or anti-fascist / libre-left-aligned cloud hosting solution?
Big pro if they're a coop or democratic membership org of some sort.
Ideally I want to be able to use #kubernetes or k3s for most workloads, but if they only offer vps or straight-up compose-files; I'll be fine.
I don't want to open any ports in my homenet, so I at least need somewhere trustworthy with a public IP to run my mesh vpn of choice.

I built the #subjam infra from the ground up on hardware I own, colocated at a secure datacenter I have physical access to.
These servers run a fleet of VMs (libvirt/qemu/kvm) that make up pretty much every service necessary for an Internet platform: DNS (bind), mail (postfix), web (apache), reverse proxy (haproxy), database (postgres, mariadb), storage (gluster) and a bunch of others.
